ILLOURA Overnight Newborn Care
Expert care for your newborn. Rest and recovery for you.
The first few months with a newborn can be beautiful, overwhelming, exhausting and sometimes all three at once.
You don't need to wait until you're completely depleted to ask for help.
What does overnight newborn care

A Paediatric Nurse not simply a night nanny
One of the most important differences with Illoura Overnight Newborn Care is the experience behind the support.
Vanessa is a Registered Nurse with 15 years of experience in Paediatric Critical Care and caring for newborns, infants and children.
She understands that newborn care isn't simply about getting a baby to sleep.
It is about recognising a baby's cues, understanding normal newborn behaviour, knowing when something doesn't look quite right and supporting parents through the uncertainty that comes with those first weeks.
You aren't just getting another pair of hands overnight. You're getting experienced paediatric care in your home.
Vanessa has a special interest in unsettled babies, premature babies and babies with medical needs.
Please note your baby does not need to have any medical needs or unsettled behaviour to use this service.

The first three months are about responding
Newborns don't arrive with a predictable sleep pattern.
Their brains, bodies and nervous systems are still developing. They wake because they are hungry, uncomfortable, need connection, need help regulating or simply because they are being a newborn.
This is why Vanessa takes a responsive approach to newborn sleep and settling. Rather than trying to impose a rigid routine, I will look at:
What is your baby telling us?
What does your baby need right now?
What helps your baby feel safe and settled?
Overnight support can help you establish gentle, realistic habits around sleep without expecting your newborn to sleep beyond what is developmentally appropriate.
This service isn't just about the baby.
It is postpartum care.
Birth is a huge physical and emotional event, and the early weeks involve recovery while simultaneously learning how to care for a completely dependent little person. Having someone care for your baby overnight can give you the rest you need to recover.
